A temporary shop at Bahnhof Bern bringing together clothing, accessories and souvenirs that reflect Souvenir Sport’s take on Switzerland.

From 2 November 2026 to 28 January 2027, the Swiss Winter Souvenir Shop connects Swiss vintage from sport, work and alpine life with shoes, leather goods and selected everyday objects. Everything in the shop is made in Switzerland. Historical pieces sit alongside our own adaptations and new designs.

The selection draws on a distinctive Swiss visual language shaped by practical needs, regional craft and everyday use. Original garments retain the details of their former lives. Others are altered or overdyed, giving familiar forms a different expression. Together, they offer a perspective on Swiss material culture that informs both what we select and what we design.

Our main partners are Kandahar and Appenzeller Gurt. Founded in Mürren in 1932, Kandahar remains closely associated with Swiss après-ski culture. For the shop, Souvenir Sport selected the classic Cresta model and added a zipper puller made from regional leather and a specially designed shoe box. This edition is available exclusively at Souvenir Sport.

Appenzeller Gurt combines traditional leatherwork with a contemporary approach to design. Its belts, clogs and leather goods feature the distinctive metal ornaments of Appenzell. As Creative Director and Designer for the brand, Caspar Schweizer helps develop this connection between regional craft and present-day use.

ALPS, Swiss Alpine Museum, adds a cultural perspective through its “Lost and Found Office”. A digital presentation of the current exhibition “Souvenir” introduces collected objects and the personal stories behind them. Products from the museum shop extend this contribution, connecting the things we buy with the memories and meanings they acquire.

USM’s modular furniture system provides the spatial structure for the shop. Clothing, objects and the museum presentation share an interior that makes Swiss design part of the setting as well as the selection.
